  • I do collect anonymized data that is aggregated for analytics use.
  • Some third party services may collect personally identifiable information, most notably Google, but also Microsoft.

The personal information that is collected is used for providing and improving the service. Your information will not be used or shared with anyone except as described in this policy.

Information Collection and Use

In-app Analytics

The app can collect information about how you use it. This may include your IP address, but this is not associated directly with the other data.

For users believed to be subject to the GDPR, this is done on the basis of legitimate interest and not consent.

Several companies process analytics for the app:

Crash Reporting

If the application crashes, a report detailing the crash may be sent to help diagnose and fix the issue. This includes information about your device including manufacturer and model as well as the operating system version.

For users believed to be subject to the GDPR, this is done on the basis of legitimate interest and not consent.

Visual Studio App Center processes crash reports for the app.

Advertising

Advertising is included in the app, provided by AdMob. Ads may be targeted using contextual information, including coarse (such as city-level) geo-targeting based on current location, and content within the app. Non-personalized ads don’t use mobile ad identifiers for ad targeting, but they may use mobile ad identifiers for frequency capping, aggregated ad reporting, and to combat fraud and abuse.

Personalised Advertising

Personalized advertising may also be used. Ads are targeted based on previously collected or historical data, including previous search queries, activity, visits to sites or apps, demographic information, or location.

On iOS: The Identifier for Adverts (IDFA) may be used to provide demographic and interest data for displaying ads. This is aggregated data based on your interactions with other websites and apps. This app supports and complies with App Tracking Transparency.

On Android: The Google Advertising ID may be enabled to provide demographic and interest data for displaying ads. This is aggregated data based on your interactions with other websites and apps.

For users believed to be subject to the GDPR, this is only collected after receiving consent to create a personalised ads profile and select personalised ads.

Web Content

Some content is displayed from the Tic-tac-toe Collection website. When accessing that content some strictly necessary cookies (as defined in the EU ePrivacy Directive) are used for maintaining session information.

YouTube

Some pages embed videos hosted externally by YouTube. Accessing these videos is done so under the Terms of Service of YouTube.

It is possible to opt out of Google’s advertising tracking. There is more information available at the links below.
